One of its common names is Paper Bark Tree, referencing its white peeling bark. Supposedly the bark flakes are used for stuffing of pillows (o.O). The tree has elliptic to lance-shaped leaves with longitudinal veins and multiple individual flowers grouped as spike inflorescences
