Estuarine Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus)

Estuarine Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus)

Also known as the Saltwater Crocodile. They are thrive in brackish and freshwater areas of coasts and wetlands, and are one of the largest croc species in the world.

Got to see 2 individuals, both were highlighted to me by other SBWR visitors. I think it was my first time seeing crocodiles in person? Personally agree that they do camouflage well in their niche.

There were signages around to remind visitors to be on alert for our safety. Both sightings were respectfully from a distance and the crocs appeared to be quite chill in behavior. They are really magnificent looking!
