Adansonia digitata

Adansonia digitata
Malvaceae
Malvales

Adansonia digitata is native to Africa and was declared a protected tree under the Forest Act in Africa. Its specific epithet "digitata" means "hand-like", referencing the leaflets of each compound leaf. The Baobab's flowers have white petals and are pollinated by bats. All the mature fruits that I saw hanging on the tree have been *CHOMPED* on. While the immature green fruit was untouched and had remnants of its floral parts (sepals and/or petals, stamens?) still attached.

Side note, spotted 2 Oriental Magpie-robins, 2 Yellow-vented Bulbuls and some kind of Tailorbird hopping on two baobabs
